 Wedding reception in the Long Room   |
The London Rowing Club is a regular venue for wedding services & receptions. On the banks of the River Thames at Putney, overlooking parkland across the water the Club provides a perfect romantic setting. Weddings are all unique and our events team will offer any help that you require to put together your perfect day. For the ultimate experience why not choose to arrive by boat? Then greet your guests with a glass of champagne before they make their way through the beautifully restored Members Room to the balcony for a few light canapes. After some time to meet and mingle your guests are called through to the tastefully decorated Long Room for an exquisite meal, impeccably served. After the speeches and toasts your party moves through to the Fairbairn Room for coffee and liquers and to watch the cake being cut. Behind the scenes the Long Room is being transformed for the evening and some dancing. Tables are dismantled and chairs whisked away, lighting is dimmed and candles lit. As your choice of music begins your guests return to find the room transformed, ready for you to lead the dancing. After an evening that flies by all that is left is for the bride to throw her bouquet from the balcony to the crowd below before the happy couple are whisked away in a limousine.
